Geomorph 28 (Set 5)

This would be geomorph 28 of set 5, with the theme of  “Secret Places Between”.  Here we have some basic non-descript corridors and rooms, but there are four secret doors all leading to tunnels. Each tunnel leads to a central cavern with a (magical?) pool. It’s never that easy though, all tunnels leading to the cavern are caved in and blocked with rocks and rubble. A coincidence?

    Definitely magical.

Aren’t basically all old-school pools full of magical liquids?

…basically, you are right….one of my all time favorite rooms in D&D was the room of pools in the B-1 “In Search of The Unknown”…..so magic pools are a must.

I agree, it’s one of my all time favorites as well. Right now, I’m running my kids through it using the 4e system (I know it’s heresy) but they enjoy it, and I play pretty loose with those rules.

About this blog

This blog came into being after I discovered the OSR blog scene. I was inspired by Dyson Logos and his blog, specifically his geomorph project. Check out his awesome work: "Dyson's Dodecahedron" The style and the simple elegance of his 10 x 10 squares put me on a mapping roll. I have blatently (...and respectfully) emulated his style and now have pages upon pages of geomorphs. Along with more location specific maps in that same style.

My intent for this blog is for it to be more than just maps and geomorphs. However, for now, I'm just enjoying this burst of creativity inspired by Dyson and the entire OSR community.
