~ Attention. Here’s an update on tonight’s dinner. It was veal. I repeat, veal. The winner of tonight’s mystery meat contest is Jeffrey Corbin who guessed “some kind of beef.”~
The “Mystery Meat” this week is a lot more recent. It is a map of the wilderness area surrounding the city of Blackstone. I roughed out this area as I am currently running a campaign with my kids that originated in that city. If you look closely, near the city, there is the name of a dungeon you may know and love (as I do). It’s a little hard to read, but to the first correct answer a Cthulhu Plushy. The interesting thing about this game is that we actually started out using the 4e rules (…no hissing or booing…) The kids over the last few months have really started to get attached and into their characters. So the campaign continues….even though I’m actually starting to play it more like AD&D, with powers and healling surges. I’ve been talking them into trying a new campaign with Swords & Wizardry (White Box) and they are willing to to try it. It’s just going to be a little hard to wean them off of 4e at first me thinks.
